Metal Buildings

Our metal sheds use all-steel framing, Steel Dutch Lap siding, and metal roofing. No wood wall framing — just steel, siding, and a treated floor system built for the long haul.

Structure & Floor System

Steel frame

All-Steel Frame

  • Walls and roof built with an all-steel stud system — no wood wall framing.
  • Galvanized steel frame components for strength and corrosion resistance.
  • Steel framing does not warp, split, or rot the way traditional wood framing can.

Floor System (Metal Sheds)

  • Heavy-duty, pressure-treated wood floor system designed for steel-framed sheds.
  • 3/4" exterior-rated subfloor for durability against moisture and heavy loads.
  • Treated floor joists and skids sized for the building span and load requirements.

This floor information applies to our metal sheds. Wood buildings use the Blue Plus / 2×6 / 4×6 system described in the wood section.

Steel Dutch Lap Siding

  • Steel Dutch Lap siding only — a clean residential profile with built-in shadow lines.
  • Pre-finished siding colors shown below under “Metal Shed Colors.”
  • Paired with metal roofing colors for a cohesive exterior.

Common Questions

Quick answers we hear every day when people are choosing between wood, metal, and different options.

Will a wood building last as long as a metal one?

With proper site prep and maintenance, both can last for many years. Wood gives you a more “finished room” feel and is easier to insulate and finish out. Metal is great when you care most about strong, dry storage with less cosmetic maintenance.

Can I insulate a metal shed?

Yes — we can add insulation packages to many metal models. If you’re planning heavy interior finish work (full cabin, office, etc.), a wood building is often the better starting point.

What if my property is tricky or unlevel?

Our team can look at photos, satellite views, or a quick video of your property to make sure the building and delivery plan make sense. If you’re unsure, just send us a message and we’ll walk you through options.
